Had bought and kept this for a couple of months not knowing when it would come of value but today it help in extracting a foreign object from an 8 month baby. Work marvelously. Definitely recommended to keep one around especially of you have a toddler around
I bought it after my daughter did a swallow study and we found out she cant swallow well at all and had to switch her to tube feeds. My daughter is cognitively and physically disabled. Today, my other daughter left her hot dog out and my disabled daughter must have gotten into it, we didnt see it happen, we only saw her choking. We were able to get the hot dog out within seconds. This device saved my daughter today.
Great tool to have handy and easily accessible. Worth every penny. Our 9yr old son whom has Down Syndrome, was choking on his food. To the point he turned blue in the face. Being limited on his verbal skills it was difficult to understand him. Once we realized he was in distress we immediately applied the tool to use and worked a miracle. To the designer and inventor, thank you and may God continue to bless you.
I ordered two, keep one in my car for on the go eating or if someone needs help at a little league game. Keep the other in the kitchen. Works well and gives me peace of mind! Put the face mouth peace on, lay your kiddo on their back, and push them pull! So glad these exist!
Choking is a very real fear and a very real possibility for anyone who eats food by mouth, and that means that everyone should have easy access to one of these at any time food is being consumed. A single bite can put someone's life at risk.
I have one in my kitchen and one in my van. I make sure everyone knows that I have it and where it is. I also made sure that the non-profit summer camp I work at has them in the kitchen, nurse station, and in the first aid kit.
I hope that every single one of these that is purchased is a waste of money that never needs to be used. But, the peace of mind that it offers is worth it. It is such a brilliant invention. Spend the money -- get one (or two...).
Buy them as gifts! Baby showers, bridal showers/weddings, house warmings, etc. One or two of these kits + a fire extinguisher are the perfect starting point for the perfect gift.
